About these terms

These terms govern your use of Metacenta, published by Sico Software Ltd ("we", "us", "Sico Software"), a company registered in Scotland. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Metacenta does

Metacenta is a Data & AI technical review: a reading of named dbt artefacts and repository metadata that produces a written review, a per-finding worklist, and a portal you can sign back into to retrieve them.

It is not a certification or a readiness assessment against any standard, including ISO and PCI. It is not an audit of your data: no warehouse is connected and no production data is read, so nothing in a review speaks to data accuracy, cost or query performance. It is not remediation — the review produces an account of the platform and a worklist; your team does the work. Checks are anchored to published rules where one exists and state how closely they correspond, and citing a rule does not make its publisher a party to the review.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of the service.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to use Metacenta. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You must not use Metacenta to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or subscription restrictions
• Use the service in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Transmit malicious code or interfere with the service's operation
• Send us only artefacts you are entitled to share. We read what you supply and do not verify your right to supply it.
• Do not send warehouse credentials, production data or query results. We do not ask for them, we have no use for them, and profiles.yml is excluded by filename for exactly this reason.
• The deliverable is yours to use inside your organisation however you like — circulate it, quote it, put it in a board pack. The engine that produced it and the check definitions remain ours.

Outputs generated by AI within Metacenta are provided for informational purposes only. They are not professional advice of any kind. Always apply your own judgement before making decisions based on AI-generated content. Sico Software accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on AI-generated outputs.

Intellectual property

Metacenta's software, design, and interface are owned by Sico Software Ltd. You retain ownership of any content you upload. You grant Sico Software a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Scots law, Sico Software's total liability for any claim arising from use of Metacenta is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or £100. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or economic loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing privacy@sico.software. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
